Dual Sidewall Designs

Each Grappler has two sidewall designs so you can choose how your tyres look. On the Nitto Terra Grappler G2®, one side features an aggressive version of the original Terra Grappler thunderbolt while the other displays a new blade design. Nitto's ability to produce exceptionally uniform off-road tyres with this feature is an engineering feat as even small weight imbalances can cause unwanted vibrations.

Rigid Coupling Joints

Reinforced coupling joints between the outermost and central tread blocks of the Nitto Terra Grappler G2® minimise excessive tread flex, maximising traction and steering response while encouraging even wear.

Full-Depth Sipes

Siping helps resist hydroplaning by cutting through pockets of water on road surfaces. The Nitto Terra Grappler G2® is equipped with full-depth siping equal to the tread depth. Not only do these full-depth sipes in the centre of the tread blocks offer additional biting edges in wet conditions, but they also help maintain the appearance of the tread design as the tyre wears.

Shoulder Lugs

Staggered shoulder lugs on the Nitto Terra Grappler G2® provide additional biting edges in off-road conditions, especially in deep sand and loose dirt. Furthermore, new sidewall designs connect these lugs from the shoulder block down to the middle of the sidewall surface for additional strength.

Variable-Pitch Tread Blocks

Computer analysis of tread block arrangements has allowed Nitto's engineers to minimise the tyre noise normally heard while driving at highway speeds.
